Slammin' smoked salmon n' bacon b-fest sandwich

Ok again, not ingredients that I would have thought to put together but WOW!! This was really decadent. not too hard to put together, the chopping was the hardest part and I did that while the english muffin was toasting. I did however chope the turkey bacon before I cooked it, much easier!! 3 WW points and I'm full. It was smokin' good, I guess that's due to the smokey taste of bacon and smoked salmon but yummy. I think it kind of tasted like a BLT but better! Another one to love!!

Spinach, tomato, fete'n egg wrap attack

I will admit that this recipe did not sound appealing to me, not sure why I like each of the ingredients but not sure of them mixed together. This was a very decident, savory breakfast but oh my oh so good. Kendra and I are enjoying testing all of these recipes and so far so good!! mmm good!! Kendra's response this morning, thumbs up and mmmmm.

Fab Five Banana Pancake Minis

Day one recipe #1 from 200 under 200...a definate must try!!
OMG this is so good. Kendra and I both had this for breakfast this morning. Absolutly easy to make and sweet enough on it's own that you didn't need the sugar free syrup to dip...yes it's that good. now the boys were not as thrilled as us but Hunter at least tried it. I personally found it very filling for such a small portion but with only 3 WW points I could do a double batch. Some fresh fruit, cheese or yogurt on the side and you have a yummy low cal, low fat absolutly fabulous breakfast.

wow I'm actually doing this

I've always thought blogging was a neat idea. Never really knew how to get started or why I would want to. But after buying Hungry Girls new cookbook 200 under 200 I knew I wanted to cook that book and blog about it too. So here I am. My first step was to contact Hungry Girl HO and ask permission to use the book with my blog. I will not post recipes so don't ask but I will post a link with permission to the Hungry Girl website. I hope to include pictures of each recipe, how easy it was to follow, if I think it's family friendly, how I enjoyed it etc. I will include any substitutes for ingredients that are not available in Canada and adjust the recipe accordingly. And along the way I hope to eat myself healthy and instill good eating habits for my kids. I want them to know taste does not have to be sacrificed when calories and fat are. So now we wait to hear from Hungry Girl HO and play it by ear from there.
